Ballerina Girl

July 20, 2008

Emily loves to dance. She will dance to anything anywhere. It amazes me that she actually has a little rythem at 2 years old. I had bought her a tutu a couple of months ago to play with. She loves to put it on and dance around. Last night I bought her ballet slippers and a leatard (sp?) Here are some cute pictures of my little ballerina girl!

4 Months

July 10, 2008

Mason had his 4 month check up today. Weighing in at 18 lbs. 1 oz and 27 1/2 in. long. You read right….18 lbs 1 oz!!!! He is in the 95% for his height and weight. We always thought he would be a quater back like Daddy but now we are thinking more of a linebacker!

He has been in his exerscauser (sp?) for about a month now and he loves it!

And then there is my pretty girl

Mr. Personality

June 23, 2008

Mason is really starting to show off his personality. He LOVES to smile. Today I had him laughing out loud and it was so cute.

He is already rolling over from his belly to his back and from his back to his belly. I looked back at Emily’s baby book to see when she rolled over. It’s fun to compare their growth. She starting rolling over at 4 1/2 months. So he has her by about a month.

My Amazing Hubby

June 19, 2008

I am a little late posting my Father’s Day blog. I have been in insurance school all week. I know most wives think that thier husbands are the best fathers. Well I am definatley one of those wives!!! One of my favorite things in the whole world is watching Brent love our kids. Emily is his little princess. She has him wrapped around her little finger. She lights up when he comes in the room. And she loves hearing his car come home after work. She runs as fast as she can to the back door yelling "Daddy Daddy!" It is precious. Now that we have Mason aka "Mini Brent" he has his little buddy. Even though Mason is only 3 1/2 months old he loves to sit on Brent’s lap while he watches Sport Center. They look so cute. Mason looks like he is really watching it. I know Brent can’t wait to teach him to throw a football! He is a wonderful Daddy who provides for and loves his family more than anything!!! We love you Daddy!!!!

Picture Crazy

June 7, 2008

So I got a new Cannon digital rebel XT camera. Now I am even more obsessed with taking my kids picture. I love taking their picture when they don’t know I am. I always catch Emily doing the cutest stuff. And little Mason dosen’t have a care in the world. I love catching his new faces he makes on camera. Here are some of my favorites…

This may be my favorite picture of them together so far.

Good Friends

June 5, 2008

This past weekend I had the honor and being in Darika and Jim’s wedding. I had such a good time. It was so nice seeing old friends and talking about the old days. We have all changed so much but we will always be friends.

We stayed with my Dad & Sally. I was so happy the kids got to spend time with them. We miss them so much!!!!!

Hoible Blogger

May 22, 2008

I am such a terrible blogger. Last Monday I had to go back to work and I am just a mess. Just trying to get back in the swing of things. The week before we took the kids to get their pictures taken. Mason was such a good boy. Emily on the other hand acted like a typical 2 year old. We will just leave it at that. Here are some of my favorite pictures of them.

She dosen’t look like her Mommy at all does she ;)

Much Better

May 4, 2008

I haven’t posted in forever. Things have been crazy the last couple of weeks plus our brand new laptop went on the fritz!! But now it’s back. I am feeling so much better. Thanks again to everyone for all of the thoughts and prayers. I have to have my blood drawn weekly to watch my blood level to make sure it’s not to thick or thin. I have to take cumadin (blood thinner) for the next 6 months. But besides that I feel great.

The kids are doing great and getting big. I am planning Emily’s 2nd birthday party. She will be 2 on may 22nd. We are having her party on the 17th. Mason had his 2 month appointmet on Friday. He is 12 lbs. 1 1/2 oz and 23 inches long. He is a big boy!!! He is smiling so much now and I love his little coos. Emily loves being a big sister now. She always checks on him and gives him hugs. Mason loves when she does it. He lights up when he sees her and smiles away. Here are some new pictures.

April 19, 2008
Hi everyone! I just wanted to send everyone an update. I am home now and resting. I know you all heard a lot of different things that were wrong so here is what really happened. I was felling really horrible and went to the emergency room on Sunday night (6th) and they told me I had a kidney stone. On Monday I started feeling even worse. I had the shakes and chills really bad and couldn’t quit vomiting. Tuesday (8th) I had an appointment with the urologist and we planned to take the stone out on Monday. By Friday (11th) all of the symptoms had gotten worse and I was running a high fever. I though it was just the stone so I called Dr. Waters and he decided to admit me to the Bellevue hospital. I had my procedure done on Saturday morning. They did a complete work up of my blood to make sure there wasn’t anything else going on. After my procedure the nurse told us that my blood work came back and I had 2 blood infections and I was septic. This was really bad news. They decided on Sunday morning to put me in ICU because I was so septic. I started complaining of tightness in my chest so they took an x-ray. They found a blood clot on my lung. So now even more bad new. My mom and rick and dad and sally came up to be with me.  I was in ICU until Tuesday. They moved me once the blood infections were under control. So after a TON of medicine and a lot of prayers I got to come home on Thursday. I will be on blood thinners for a couple of months and Brent has to give me shots 2 times a day. It will take up to 6 months to totally get over everything.
All of this was a really scary experience. The doctors told us not once but twice that I could have died from this. The blood infections making me septic and the blood clot. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. This has really shown us how many people love and care for us.
Love,
Brent, Baranda, Emily & Mason

Backyardigans LIVE

April 3, 2008

We took Emily last night to see Backyardigans Live "Tale of The Might Knights!" We took a little mini trip over to Battle Creek Michigan to see the show. We headed up there yesterday morning and spent the night. Brent’s parents watched Mason when we were watching the show. Brent and I could not wait to see Emilys reaction when she first saw her favorite show in person. We thought she would be all smiles and super excited. Well the reaction was a little different. When we first got there she was really excited seeing all the other kids . We found our seats (we were 9 rows back on the floor) and sat down.

I snuck up to the vendors and got Emily a shirt and a fairy wand. We put the t-shirt on her and she was so funny because she was too busy trying to look at the shirt. Once the show stared she was glued to my lap and was wrapped around my arms holding on for dear life! I felt sooo bad. The auditorium was really loud so I think that bothered her a little bit. As the show went on her grip loosened up. By the end she was dancing on Daddy’s lap.

After the show we headed back to the room. I think she had more fun in the hotel room jumping on the bed then anything else.

As for the little mans first trip…he did great!!!!!
