The Adams

Just a quick update for you guys. We went to our 39 week appointment this morning. After my exam and talking with the doctor she deciding to go ahead and induce me tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM!!!!!! I am super excited. We have to pack up Emily’s bag and bring her to Grandpa and Nana’s in the morning. This will be her first over night trip. This will also be the first time I have ever been away from her. I am really sad about that. They will bring her up on Saturday to see me and her new little brother. We are taking the computer with us so I will try to keep you updated as much as possible and post pictures as soon as I can!!!! Thanks in advance for all your love and support!

We had our 38 week appointment today. I am now 2 cm dialated and Mason has come down. The docotor says any day now Mason will be here!!!! We hope that he waits until Monday because Dr. Merlino will be in Las Vegas for a wedding until Sunday night. Since my delivery is high risk I really hope she is there. We love her. So say a little prayer for us this weekend. Here is a new belly picture that my hubby took last night. And of course a new picture I little miss Emily!

16 more days and counting until Mason is suppose to arrive in the world. I am SO ready. I am getting to the point of it being uncomfortable just sitting. I am carrying him a lot different then I did Emily. This time I am all belly! I look like I swollowed a watermellon. Last time we were at the doctors I was 1 1/2 cm dialted and Dr. Merlino said he had dropped. I have been contracting for some time now. Nothing consistent though. So now we are just waiting.

Brent was told at work that there is a special cookie from Perkins Pancake House called a "Smiley Cookie" that pregnant woman eat and then go into labor soon after. So I am at the point that i will try anyything (except castrol oil..yuck) to help the process move along. Brent stopped by to get me this miracle cookie and the girl at the counter told him that they no longer make the cookie. We were both pretty disapointed about the cookie. So then we are told that they now make this cinnamon roll. I went and got one yesterday and it took me all day to eat it…..and nothing happened. So I am still pregnant. Don’t get me wrong I love being pregnant it is the most amazing feeling in the world. But I think once you get so close you are just ready to see this little person that has been growing inside of you all this time. That moment was the most amazing moment of my life. I can’t believe it was been almost 2 years since Emily was born.

I have always wanted to start a blog so that everyone can keep up with what is going on with the Adams family. With so many friends and family living far away it will be nice. I stole the idea from some old friends from back home. (thanks Katie and Amanda) I feel really old because I have no idea what I am doing so bare with me for the first couple of posts until I get the hang of it .

Speaking of feeling old…yesterday was valentines day and Brent got me a new ipod. I have no freakin idea how to work that thing. Then of course I call Matthew, my little brother, and he just rattles off all of these things. I am so lost! I remember when I was in high school and my parents would ask me how to use electronic things and I thought they were so out of it because they didn’t know what they were doing. Well now i know how they felt. Haha.
