Getting Big

March 25, 2008

Easter was really nice with both of the kids. Saying kids is still weird to me :) Emily had spent the night at Grandpa and Nana’s house on Saturday night so Mason and I got to spend some time together that night becuase Brent was working a double. We met Emily and the grandparents at Brent’s Aunts house around 1:00. We ate Easter dinner and it was fantastic. Emily got to sit at the kids table like a big girl! She was very proud. Mason slept almost the whole time. Brent came over after work. We came home around 6:00 and we let Emily find her basket.

Yesterday was my first outing with both Emily and Mason. We went to the bank and to Target to get diapers. They were WONDERFUL! I had such a good day with them. They were both so good. Last week was my first week having them all by myself while Brent was at work. It was really hard. So yesterday was refreshing. Last night I took some cute pictuers of Mason.

I think he looks like a little old man in the first one :)

Too Cute!

I know everyone thinks their kids are the greatest but mine really are. I just love them to pieces! I bought Emily a pink tutu to play in and to wear for her birthday. I tried it on her last night and let her run around in it. She wanted just the tutu on and thats it!

Then ther is my new little man. He is so sweet. I love this picture of him. He looks so much older then he is. Looks just like his daddy!

We tried to take some pictues of the kids together for Easter last night. Emily was a complete ham and was posing for all the pictures. She takes the cutest pictues. Now that we have Mason she seems so grown up to me. It’s hard for me to remember when she was as small as him. Sometimes when I watch her play I just want to cry because I love her so much!!! She is such a sweet little girl. Always smiling and laughing. I love watching her dance around all the time to Dora and Backyardigans. Even when she is playing or watching her shows every couple minutes she will walk over to us and give us a big hug and sometimes a kiss. She just melts my heart. Being her mom is so awesome. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect little girl.

The past week has flown by. It has been so much fun. Mason fits right in! He is doing so good at night. He is only waking up 2 times in the middle of the night. He is eating ALL the time. He went to his 1 week appointment today. The doctor said he looks great. He is a little yellow but it’s almost all gone. When we left the hospital he weighed 7 lbs 9 oz. Today he was 8 lbs 3 oz. So he is eating very well.

Emily is being such a good big sister. She loves to help change him. Even if he dosen’t poop she still tells me "peew." It’s so cute. I just love her so much!!! Tomorrow her and I are going to spend some special time together. We are going to go Target and then to get a happy meal.

Mason is Here

March 5, 2008

Sorry I have not posted about Mason’s arrival but I have been having a problem with the blog. So most of you know MASON IS HERE! I had him on Saturday, March 1 at 10:02 pm. He was 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 inches long. He has beautiful dark blue eyes and dark brown hair. He is a spitting image of his proud daddy! Brent was the best coach during the birth. Emily was a c-section so this was all new to me. My sister in law (Kelly who is Brads wife) was my nurse and she helped deliver him. She is the best. There were no complications this time besides 2 days of labor (again) and they had trouble with my epidural. Giving birth to Mason was the most amazing thing I have ever done.

We came home on Monday night with Emily and Brent’s parents waiting for us. Emily is such a proud bug sister. She loves to look at him and smile. She is very gentle to him. Last night was the first time she gave him a hug and a kiss. I cried. Mason’s personality is very different then Emily’s. She is very curious and loves to know what’s going on. Very outgoing and happy. Mason is very laid back and calm. He loves to sleep and be swaddeled. Emily did not like to sleep very much when we first brought her home.

I can’t believe how much God has blessed up. We have 2 healthy beautiful kids!

UPDATE!

March 1, 2008

Hi everyone. just wanted to let everyone know how we were doing. They starting the patosine (sp?) at around 7:30 this morning. I was still 2 cm until around 5 this afternoon and Mason has not had any progress moving down. The doctor decided around 6 pm to stop the patosine and give my body a break. She was going to break my water around 11 am but he had not advanced enough and she didn’t want to create anymore problems. So we are now in a room and we are going to get some sleep and they will start everything all over again in the morning around 7. Will try and drop an email tomorrow and let everyone know. Thanks in advance for all the love and support.
